If the goal of your new lifestyle is to cut down on bad
fats and to increase vegetable portions then Chilli is a
good way to go.
If using meat then choose lean cuts moving from beef
into chicken and pork.
You will also be pleasantly surprised in switching to
meatless recipes as the flavour is increased by spices
and slow simmering. In nor time at all you will develop
family favorites.
Slow Cooker in the Mysterious
World
- The Mystery World often leans to the the meatless category.
Use a slow cooker to allow the flavors to mingle throughout the day and to
allow you time to work on other aspects of your body, mind and soul
development.
Allow 5 hours total cooking & preparation time
Place in the crock pot the following:
1 fine diced onion
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil.
Add some peppers of any
hue or heat
Set the slow cooker on high and stir occasionally for the next 30
minutes.
Search the refrigerator, freezer , cupboards for ingredients.
You can add amounts of any of the following:
- Black Beans, Chilli Beans Chick Peas
(Be sure to rinse thoroughly if canned)
- Fresh/canned/frozen tomatoes
- Vegetable pulp (any combination- from juicing)
This could be left over from any juicing fresh or frozen.
- Any fresh/frozen diced vegetables
Parsnips, carrot, celery, rutabaga
- Spices - such as Italian mix
- rosemary
- Chilli powder to taste.
- 1 TBSP Ketchup
- 1 tsp cocoa /1/2
square baker's chocolate
- Optional Tofu or Soy Meatless Burgers

Add to the crock pot and turn to low.
Add water/vegetable stock/low salt tomato juice to fill the pot.
Cook on low 4- 5 hours.
Serve in bowls Or coincide
(with your Salt free whole wheat bran loaf in the Bread Maker)
or over flavoured rice or whole wheat pasta.
SALT FREE WHOLE WHEAT Bread

* Based on Canadian flour which is significantly from USA flours.
No conversion available
Add to mixing unit in the following order
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
3 cups Whole Wheat 'organic' flour
For a lighter loaf use 1 cup white and 3
cup whole wheat
1 tbsp Honey
2 tbsp of unflavoured *whey powder
1 1/2 cups warm water
* Optional
*1 tbsp ground quinoa
contains more protein than any other grain
(an average of 16.2%, compared with 7.5% for rice, 14% for wheat)
* 1 tbsp freshly ground flax seed
* 1 tsp Rosemary
Place in a dry area of the mix.
1 package Regular Dry Yeast (
check the date)
Set in to Bread Maker -Select Brown/Whole Wheat Setting
Bake 4 h 10m
If your machine has the setting add an additional
1 tbsp *flax seed (whole) 2 tbsp

after
premixing has occurred
Yield: 1 Loaf
